Things to do

Ardnavally is ideally situated within the Lagan Valley Regional Park and neighbouring Belvoir Forest Park. Although we are surrounded by the countryside we are actually on the edge of Belfast so this makes our site a great base from which to explore.

There are plenty of areas to visit in the nearby vicinity that can be accessed on foot, including local activity centres and forest parks.

We are also situated on part of the National Cycle Network Number 9 so if you wish to take your bike and cycle along the towpath to Belfast or up to Lisburn all you need to do is go through our back gate.

To make your visit with us more interesting we have gathered some useful things to see and do. Why not take a look at our pages for outdoor and rainy day activities for suggestions. The centre also keeps a list of contacts for things to do in the area.

When you feel the urge for a bracing walk along the beach, or fancy a relaxing afternoon then you could do no better than go to Helens Bay Beach, one of Northern Ireland’s many Blue Flag beaches

We also have a range of approved activity providers that can cater for the more adventurous guests from cycle hire, kayaking to catering. They will be able to enhance your stay with us.
